Catherine “Cathy” St. Martin

Catherine “Cathy” St. Martin Cathy passed away peacefully at home on December 17, 2020. Cathy was born in Española, NM on March 13, 1958 to Elaine and Jacob Saiz.     Cathy was mother to Alissa, Nathanael, Laney, and Sarah St. Martin. She raised her children with love, reverence, and devotion in Española with her husband David St. Martin.  As a Certified Ophthalmic Technician, Cathy was known for her great smile, loving and inspirational personality, and her tremendous work ethic. Cathy was a magnificent watercolor artist and flutist, a wonderful cook, a great listener, and overall, the best mother and grandmother in the whole world! She especially enjoyed the road trips with her husband of 44 years. The two were practically inseparable unless her grandchildren called her for duty in Albuquerque, Las Cruces or Washington, D.C.  She is survived by her husband: David St. Martin, children: Alissa Lucas, Nathanael St. Martin, Laney Dennis, and Sarah St. Martin, son-in-laws: Ja’Cory Lucas, Michael Dennis, daughter-in-law: Crystal St. Martin, grandchildren: Jordan Lucas, Haylee St. Martin, Payton St. Martin, Brayden St. Martin, and Braxton Dennis, siblings: Becky Lucas, George Saiz, Mark Saiz, Jeanette Arden, and Renee Romero and many loving nieces and nephews. Cathy was preceded in death by her parents: Elaine and Jacob Saiz, sibling: Steve Saiz, and niece: Ashley Romero.  Services have not been scheduled at this time. The family does plan to hold an intimate service in March 2021 at Calvary Church in Albuquerque, NM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Roger Montoya Moving Arts Foundation (movingartsespanola.org) can be made in Cathy’s name.
