You may have known Emily from her work at La Cocina, which she helped her mother open in 1970.  She took over the business, along with her son Steve, in 1990 after her mother retired. She continued to work there until her retirement in 2008. The business, which she was so proud of continues to flourish under the guidance of her sons Phil and Javier. She also enjoyed participating in the Fiestas where she served as chair of the Queens Court for many years. Special thanks to her caretakers who cared for her with love and compassion.
