Eva Marie Campos, 53, Ojo Caliente, died Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019.

    Mrs. Campos was born Feb. 24, 1966 and was a 1984 graduate of Mesa Vista High School.

    She joined the United States Army in June 1984 and spent six years in the Army Reserve in Lubbock, Texas and Albuquerque. She was honorably discharged in 1990.

    Mrs. Campos started working in 1989 for the state of New Mexico as a data entry clerk.

    She received her associates in 1997 from Santa Fe Community College in computer science. She attended the University of Phoenix and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems in 2001.

    As a state employee she rose to the rank of Chief Information Officer at the New Mexico Department of Transportation. Upon retirement she created her own business as a consultant of finance systems.

    She also worked for the state of New York at the New York Department of Transportation.

    Mrs. Campos was preceded in death by her grandparents.

    She is survived by her husband of 33 years Tommy Campos, parents Max and Adelia Campos, brother Michael, sisters Carol Sandoval, Michelle Campos and Judy Campos; children Kevin, Agustine and Kyle Campos and many other relatives and friends.

    A devotional service was held Sept. 8 at El Buen Pastor Assembly of God Church in Española. A funeral service was celebrated Tuesday at El Buen Pastor Assembly of God Church in Española. Burial followed at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
