Jose Frank Archuleta, 73

October 24, 1944 ­– May 15, 2018

Joe Frank Archuleta of Medanales, NM, passed away at UNM Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. Joe was a highly decorated Vietnam Veteran Paratrooper and a Retired Denver Firefighter. Joe helped protect our freedom, fought fires and saved lives; unfortunately we couldn’t save his.

Joe loved life and lived life to the fullest. Joe is survived by children Dan (Teena) Archuleta; Jessie Archuleta of Alamosa, CO; and Tracy (Michael) Vargas of Monte Vista, CO; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters. Joe is preceded in death by parents Frank and Epifania “Eppie” Archuleta of Capulin, CO; and one brother. Funeral services will be held at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM, on June 1, 2018, at 1:30 p.m. A memorial will be held following funeral services at the American Legion in Española, NM.

Joe will always be remembered in our hearts and memories. “Airborne!”
