Norman Armijo

    Norman Larry Armijo, 76, Albuquerque, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2020.

    He was born Aug. 13, 1943 in Embudo and grew up there. He served in the United States Air Force and was a superintendent at the New Mexico Air National Guard before his retirement.

    Mr. Armijo was a former member of The Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed a good game of golf, the outdoors, gardening and especially fishing and boating.

    He was preceded in death by his parents Tranquilino and Rose Lopez Armijo and brothers Elizario Joe and Lorenzo Armijo.

    Mr. Armijo is survived by his wife of 52 years Ernestine Armijo, son Chris Armijo, sister Leanora Armijo Vasquez, a grandson and many other relatives and friends.

    Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., Friday at Berean Baptist Church, 3800 Eubank Blvd NE in Albuquerque. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at the same location. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
