Valerie Olguin Grondin, age 29 of La Mesilla, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Christus St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe. Valerie was born on August 1, 1989 to Gilbert Olguin and Vickie Valdez.
Val had been employed at LANL as an Admin, a job she loved and took pride in. Val lived a good and happy life, she was a beautiful soul and made an impact on everyone she came in contact with, touching hearts in her own special way. Val was always passionate about sports and going to the gym to workout. Val was preceded in death by her grandparents Pete and Mary Valdez, uncles Fred Martinez and Gary Martinez, aunt Connie Romero, cousins Carlos Vigil and Raymond Martinez. Val is survived by her daughter Amaya Archuleta, mother Vickie Valdez, father Gilbert (Karri) Olguin, sisters Melanie Garcia and Jennifer Orozco, grandparents Salvador Olguin and Dulcinea Olguin, uncles & aunts Linda Martinez, Pete (Dorothy) Valdez, Debra Martinez, Christi Olguin, Lynn (Eddie) Chavez, father of her child Manuel Archuleta, nephews Isaiah (Kayla) Garcia, Elijah Searles and Noah Orozco, niece Hannah Loyd, one great nephew Zia and many other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank everyone who donated food, money, time and support!
