The Española Public Library will offer a “Chess 101” class for beginners of all ages from 11 a.m. to noon and 4-5 p.m. Feb. 20. Participants learn how the chess board is set up, how each piece moves, basic rules and simple strategies to get started. No prior experience required. The Bond House Museum is showcasing the Northern New Mexico Artist Invitational Exhibit featuring artists Roger Montoya, Steve Chavez, Michelle Ferran, Nicholas Herrera and James Espinoza.
