Fedeline Montalvo 4.24.33-2.25.26

Fedelina Montalvo went to be with our Lord and her beloved husband on February 25, 2026. Born and raised in Cordova, New Mexico, she lived a life full of love and laughter among family and friends.

Fedelina, most lovingly known as Faye (or “Feathers”), was born on April 24, 1933, in Cordova, NM, to Demetrio and Eufracia Martinez. She graduated from Santa Cruz High School in 1949 and went on to attend Assembly of God Bible College in Ysleta, TX. While in Texas, she met the love of her life, Pablo. Fedelina and Pablo were married on November 21, 1963.

From the very beginning, Faye’s passion was giving back and serving her community. She had a deep love for contributing to her hometown of Cordova. She served as the first secretary of the Cordova Mutual Domestic Water Association and later, in 1993, became its President. Eventually, Faye retired from Mountain View Elementary, where she served as a Spanish teacher. She had the beautiful opportunity to teach children from Cordova, including members of her own family. Her love of teaching was seen and felt by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

One of Faye’s passions was tending to her beautiful garden. Her yard was a magnificent oasis of flowers and trees, which she maintained with such love and care. Her grandchildren have fond memories of playing outside with her, watering plants and pulling weeds.

Another passion of Faye’s was attending Penasco and Pojoaque sports games. Faye never missed a game, play, or school event. She was her family’s biggest fan. Her cheers and unwavering support will be greatly missed.

Fedelina had a special gift for making the holidays magical. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she poured her heart into transforming her home into a breathtaking winter wonderland. Inside and out, every corner sparkled with warmth, light, and festive cheer. Neighbors, family, and friends eagerly admired her beautiful displays, often complimenting her creativity and dedication. For her grandchildren, visiting during the holidays was a treasured tradition. They were always in awe of her amazing decorations and the love she so joyfully shared through them. Her home was not only beautifully decorated but filled with the spirit of Christmas and the warmth of her heart.

Faye is proceeded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Pablo Montalvo; Son, Robert Lugo; Parents, Demetrio & Eufracia Martinez; Her siblings, Adonaiso Martinez, Celina Lucero, Gerson Martinez, & Vivian Vigil; Daughters-in-law, Meier Lugo & Maryrose Montalvo, and her grandsons, Christopher & Aiden Montalvo.
