^ Ignacio “Nacho” Medina ^

10.23.1951 – 2.12.2026

Born on October 23, 1951^ Ignacio was not only a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, but also a devoted member of his community and a proud machinist with an extensive career at Los Alamos National Labs.

Ignacio Jose Medina is survived by his cherished wife, Florence Medina; sons, Julio Medina (Jolene) and Orlando Medina (Erika); grandchildren, Jeremiah, Josiah, Serena, Angelo, and Mia; and his brother, Lorenzo Medina (Patty).

He also leaves behind many cousins, aunts, uncles, and cherished friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Phil and Bernie Medina; his father-in-law and mother-inlaw, EloyandAurelia Salazar; and his grandparents, Joseand Abelina Medina and Vicente and Eliza Garcia.

In Honor of Ignacio “Nacho” Medina, services will be held on Thursday March 5th at Nuestra Señora De Guadalupe of Pojoaque with a Rosery beginning at 9:00am and Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00am. Ignacio will then be laid to rest at Pojoaque Cemetery following the conclusion of Mass.

Serving as pallbearers will be Franklin Salazar, Floyd Salazar, and Carl Salazar.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.

As we remember Ignacio, let us celebrate a life defined by hard work, selflessness, and a commitment to family and community. His memory will live on in the countless lives he touched and the lessons he imparted to those fortunate enough to know him.
