The Española Public Library will offer a “Chess 101” class for beginners of all ages from 11 a.m. to noon and 4-5 p.m. Feb. 20. Participants learn how the chess board is set up, how each piece moves, basic rules and simple strategies to get started. No prior experience required. There will be a Valentine’s Day craft for children on Feb. 13. All supplies are provided. Board Game Day will be on Feb. 18. Join in the fun and play a board game at the library. Games for all ages.
Exhibit
The Bond House Museum is showcasing the Northern New Mexico Artist Invitational Exhibit featuring artists Roger Montoya, Steve Chavez, Michelle Ferran, Nicholas Herrera and James Espinoza. The exhibit is on display through May 31. Admission is free. The Bond House is located at 706 Bond St. Exhibit hours are noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
