Moving Arts Celebrates Three Students Accepted to New Mexico School for the Arts

From a Press Release

Moving Arts announces three outstanding students who have recently been accepted to the New Mexico School for the Arts (NMSA): Alessandra Romero, Mia Archuleta and Ixchel Dudek. Each of these young artists has been a dedicated member of the Moving Arts community for years and their acceptance marks a milestone in their creative journeys.

Romero has been an active participant in Moving Arts’ Fashion Design & Sewing, Folklórico and Drama programs. In addition to her studies, she currently serves as a teaching intern in the Folklórico program, where she mentors and inspires younger dancers.

Archuleta is a dedicated musician whose time at Moving Arts has included studies in Keyboard and Hip Hop. She also contributes as a teaching intern in the Guitar pro-gram, sharing her enthusiasm for music with fellow students. Archuleta has been accepted into the music program at NMSA and is especially excited to continue her studies alongside friends she met through Moving Arts.

Dudek began her artistic journey with Moving Arts at the age of six, first discovering her love for performance through the organization’s drama program. Today, she studies Singing, Hip Hop and Theater. Dudek said she loves drama because “I get to ex-press myself through different characters.” She has been accepted into the drama pro-gram at NMSA and looks forward to continuing to develop her craft.

“Watching our students grow, discover their voices and pursue their artistic dreams is at the heart of what we do at Moving Arts,” Roger Montoya, artistic director and co-founder, said. “We are incredibly proud of Alessandra, Mia, and Ixchel, and we look forward to seeing all the amazing things they will accomplish.”
