Bella Boies, Mesa Vista Girls Basketball

The Lady Trojans point guard had another great week, leading the team to a big hard-fought win over Escalante with eight points in the first quarter as they stormed out to a lead that would become important. Earlier in the week, Boies helped defeat McCurdy with six assists in limited playing time.

Jordan Cervantes, Mesa Vista Boys Basketball

Cervantes had a huge game to lead the Trojans to their first win over Escalante in seven years. He was hot shooting the ball, with 19 points total, nine in just the first quarter, and his play down the stretch helped the Trojans hold on for a victory.

Kyle Coffeen, Española Valley Wrestling

The Sundevil senior has had a fantastic season, at 21-4 on the year. During his senior night, he scored a big win in a second-period pin over Los Alamos' Alejandro Archuleta, a strong wrestler in his own right. Coffeen continues his run trying to improve on his second-place finish at the 2022 state tournament.
