An Española pet store is hosting a pet spring “neighborhood block party” adoption event that features free vaccinations, a car show, and prizes.

The party takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday (4/18) at Petsense, 1506 N. Riverside Drive, in the Lowe’s parking lot.

Free pet vaccinations are available for all pets from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Española Humane’s Pet Amigos program. Free vaccines distributed through Petco Love’s national initiative include core vaccinations for dogs and cats. Free rabies vaccines are provided through Española Humane’s donors.

Pet adoptions are provided through Española Humane, Los Alamos County Animal Shelter, Santa Fe Animal Shelter, City of Las Vegas Animal Shelter and Dixon Animal Protection Society. Microchipping and nail filing also will be available for purchase.

Española Humane’s adoptable pets are altered, up-to-date on vaccinations and ready to go home to loving families. Puppies and kittens are available for $25 and adult pets are fee waived.
