Pets of the Week 4/16/26

Willow is a tiny tabby adventurer wearing built-in mittens. With her extra-toed, polydactyl paws, every step is a soft, clumsy little march, every pounce a perfectly imperfect masterpiece. This tiny tot is discovering the world one mittened misstep at a time — then curling up like she’s worked a full day’s shift being adorable.

Sweet, snuggly and impossibly charming, Willow is ready to wrap those special little paws around your heart and call it home!

Ava is a pocket-sized hound heroine from the Paws in the Pen program at the Penitentiary of New Mexico. At just 7 months old, she’s part puppy, part sunshine and fully top of he class adorable. Ava is about to “paw-role” from her eight-week training program, coming home potty trained, crate trained and fluent in Good Dog Basics — with a few extra sparkle skills. Her adoption even includes four bonus training sessions.

With playful zoomies, cozy snuggles and the sweetest houndie heart, Ava is ready to find her forever home. Willow and Ava are both available for adoption from the Española Animal Shelter.
