Man Said the Devil is Keeping Friend From Church

Predicting Gunshots
April 2
7:35 a.m. A Kennedy Loop and Coral Lane caller said he doesnāt know where heās at, his girlfriend took his key fob, he canāt start his vehicle and the womanās grandfather is threatening to call the cops.
9:37 a.m. A San Juan Drive caller reported someone was trying to steal tires off a vehicle and left the jack and tools behind.
10:45 a.m. A man was slumped over in a chair and not responding on East Calle Archuleta and Los Alamos Highway. The Office of the Medical Investigator was called.
11:12 a.m. A stolen RV camper trailer was recovered in Truchas.
12:55 p.m. An EspaƱola Hospital caller said a man that needed an emergency physical evaluation was refusing to get out of a car in the parking lot.
12:58 p.m. A Chimayó caller reported a car and truck are parking in front of her house and the occupants are talking about killing her.
1:01 p.m. An El Rey Liquor caller said a man is under the influence of something, bothering customers and refusing to leave.
1:19 p.m. A Villa del Norte Apartments caller reported someone has tried to break into her truck four times and she wants an officer to take a report.
1:43 p.m. A Starbucks caller said an SUV has been in the parking lot for a while and they keep hitting the callerās car every time they open the doors.
1:47 p.m. A Vallecitos caller reported someone tried to pry her door open.
2:33 p.m. A Rodeway Inn caller kicked a couple out this morning and said they had a hard time leaving. She later saw the woman on the ground by the dumpster.
3:49 p.m. A Food King caller reported a vehicle crashed into him at the gas pump.
7:17 p.m. A fist fight was reported on Camino Cielo Grande and the caller said there are going to be gunshots.
7:55 p.m. A caller near Big 5 said she was being followed by a car with five or six people in it. She said they wanted to fight her son.
8:04 p.m. A Darrenās Place caller reported a man was walking around her work and car.
11:08 p.m. A Calle Vigil man was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
11:21 p.m. A caller reported that a New Mexico State Police officer was swerving on North Riverside Drive and Fairview Lane.
Rude Friends
April 3
1:05 a.m. A deputy transporting a prisoner said the man was threatening to kill himself with the seat belt, was damaging the unit and was trying to break the partition so he could attack the deputy.
9:12 a.m. A Velarde caller heard 30-40 gunshots from what may have been a machine gun, coming from the area of Christyās Fruit Stand.
12:03 p.m. A Goodwill caller wanted four women and seven men removed from the parking lot for possibly drinking.
1:59 p.m. A woman said she was threatened by employees at Ortegaās Beef Jerky; they were yelling and threatening something about drug dealing. She doesnāt feel safe because they took a photo of her license plate and wonāt let her leave.
2:14 p.m. A caller heard gunshots and reported there was a man on the ground near the Bubble Zone. The reporting officer spoke with a man outside the laundry who did not hear any shots. The caller phoned again to report more gunshots. The officer said it might be a vehicleās exhaust she was hearing.
2:37 p.m. A woman went to the Ohkay Owingeh Police Department to report her car was broken into last night and her debit are was stolen. Purchases were made on her card.
2:39 p.m. A School Street caller reported a car pulled up and a person started putting graffiti on a building.
5:04 p.m. A caller requested a welfare check on a man passed out by the Pizza 9 fence.
5:05 p.m. A Days Inn caller said a man and woman are getting bet up.
5:32 p.m. A La Morada in Los Pachecos caller reported his friend has been seeing the devil and the devil is keeping him from going to church.
6:16 p.m. A vehicle flipped near La Tiendita.
8:26 p.m. A woman was caught ticket-switching at Walmart.
9:13 p.m. An Alcalde caller said the neighbor was shooting a gun.
9:35 p.m. A caller reported a drunk woman at Walmart was trying to get into a vehicle but fell out and her friends left her by the south entrance.
9:25 p.m. A person in a truck was fighting with someone at Center Market and a man was yelling for help.
9:27 p.m. A caller reported two diesel trucks were doing donuts and smoking out the park at Ranchitos Park.
11:08 p.m. An Ohkay Owingeh caller said the neighbors have been throwing rocks at her motherās house.
Dairy Queen Fight
April 4
12:32 a.m. A Calle Duran caller reported a man was shot in the chest and the suspect fled in a car.
8:46 a.m. A caller said a man was messing with the drive-thru ATM at Wells Fargo bank.
11:32 a.m. A Tierra Amarilla caller reported the neighbor is burning weeds. They called back three times and said the neighbor was still burning weeds and heās an ex-cop, thatās why no one goes out there.
12:56 p.m. A caller said a family in a van was panhandling at Fairview Lane and South McCurdy Road.
2:01 p.m. An Alcalde caller reported the neighbor dog keeps going in their yard and defecating.
2:58 p.m. A caller said her boyfriend threw her out of the car and put his hands on her.
4:34 p.m. A man went to the EspaƱola Hospital and his arm was almost fully cut off. A woman with him said they got robbed in Alcalde.
4:53 p.m. A caller said a woman was panhandling with toddlers on the corner of Fairview Lane and North McCurdy Road. The responding officer said he already checked on them and they are OK.
6:13 p.m. A car went into a ditch in Chimayó.
6:16 p.m. A caller reported a family is asking for money at the intersection of North McCurdy Road and Fairview Lane. The responding officer said the family is OK and is waiting for a friend to help them get into a hotel this evening before they travel back to Denver.
7:11 p.m. A man was hiding in the bushes at the Ohkay Casino.
7:24 p.m. A caller reported someone was firing a machine gun near the Medanales Post Office.
7:44 p.m. A caller said men in the Chiliās parking lot were hitting each other.
7:53 p.m. A Center Market caller reported a man keeps going back to panhandle even though heās been asked multiple times to leave.
9:44 p.m. A woman said she got into an altercation at Dairy Queen and is bleeding from the face.
Dive-Bombing Birds
April 5
12:48 p.m. A person was arrested for driving while intoxicated at North Yucca Street and Po Pay Avenue.
1:44 a.m. A person was arrested for driving while intoxicated at Camino Escondido and North Riverside Drive.
11:15 a.m. An Ohkay Laundromat caller said the women’s restroom is locked and has been since last night. No one was in the restroom.
1:13 p.m. A woman called to say her son told her he was going to drive to The Gorge Bridge and jump off. A BOLO was issued but they couldnāt find the man.
1:49 p.m. A manās death was reported on North McCurdy Road.
2:01 p.m. A Santa Clara caller said her aunt has locked her out of the house for two consecutive days. She stays outside all day and is only let inside for a little bit.
4:23 p.m. A woman at Fish Pond Lane and Community School Road was drunk, out of it and acting weird.
4:24 p.m. A Chimayó Family Dollar employee said she was 10 minutes late to work and when she arrived, there were no co-workers in the store, but a random person was behind the register, pretending to work there. The safe was broken into.
4:31 p.m. An officer was in a foot pursuit on Carr Lane and North Riverside Drive.
6:29 p.m. A Tierra Amarilla caller said the neighbors feed the birds and they dive bomb him and hit his house. He wants officers to speak with the neighbors.
7:09 p.m. A caller reported the driver of a car in Alcalde threw the passenger out and she began walking. They requested a welfare check on her.
7:23 p.m. A New Creations Ministry caller requested a welfare check on a woman with a bandage on her neck who was walking and asked for an ambulance.
8:38 p.m. A caller requested a welfare check on a woman lying on the ground on La Joya Street and North Riverside Drive.
8:39 p.m. A caller said a woman was pulling trash out of the Walgreens dumpster.
8:55 p.m. A man who was discharged from the EspaƱola Hospital refused to leave.
9:02 p.m. A caller said a woman texted him, saying sheās going to burn down his house.
11:33 p.m. A person was threatening employees at Fairview Sonic.
Teeth in the Wall
April 6
8:07 a.m. A Flute Plant caller reported 200 feet of chain link fence was stolen.
8:34 a.m. An Alcalde caller wanted to file a report for a break-in. A sprayer, liquid fertilizer and other items were taken over the weekend.
8:38 a.m. A caller reported a Rio Arriba County van was swerving all over the road in Medanales and was unable to maintain its lane.
8:42 a.m. A Velarde caller said he was remodeling a house and found a dental bridge with two teeth in it in the wall.
9:57 a.m. A South McCurdy Road caller reported a vehicle was blocking the road and when she honked at it to move and began recording it, the driver threw rocks at her car.
12:25 p.m. A caller wanted an officer to stand by when she went to speak with the secretary at the Agua Sana Water Association in Hernandez because she said every time she goes in there, the woman is hostile and yells at her.
12:39 p.m. A Hernandez caller reported a man was beating up her daughter.
12:40 p.m. A La Mesilla caller said her son is high on something and has blocked her house with a skid steer.
1:25 p.m. A woman flagged down an officer at Fairview Lane and Riley Road because a man was beat up.
1:29 p.m. A Las Lomas Apartments caller said a man tried to get into her apartment last night.
2:12 p.m. A San Pedro Sonic caller reported a woman accused them of putting toenails in her drink. She then threatened the manager and swung at her but didnāt hit her.
3:14 p.m. A Walmart caller said a man who was assaulted was bleeding from the mouth.
6:30 p.m. People were smoking drugs outside of Little Caesarās.
6:51 p.m. A Santa Claran Casino Hotel caller said two men got into a fight and one of the employees was hit.
9:36 p.m. A caller believes her neighbor is drugging her. She said she feels weird after drinking a Powerade that he gave her.
Romeo and Juliet?
April 7
2:29 a.m. A Cookās Mobile Home Park caller reported someone was trying to get into their trailer and said her vehicle was broken into.
7:24 a.m. A Coronado High School caller said gas is being siphoned out of their school buses and they have surveillance footage.
8:05 a.m. A caller reported their license plate was stolen in El Guique.
8:18 a.m. A La Mesilla caller said her son is high on drugs and is banging on the windows and screaming that heās going to kill people.
8:38 a.m. A Tierra Amarilla caller reported on Saturday, there was an incident in which a woman was trying to swing a sledge hammer at her and her baby.
11:31 a.m. An Agua Sana Fire Department in Hernandez caller said someone tried to steal five 20-foot well casings and a lot of damage was done.
1:23 p.m. A Center Market caller reported a man was yelling obscenities in the area and threatening to beat up employees.
1:29 p.m. A woman was harassing customers at Speedway and being aggressive. She was throwing things and threatening to beat up employees.
1:53 p.m. A DNCU East caller said a woman tried to withdraw money from another personās account. When they asked her for her Social Security number, she ran off.
2:42 p.m. A JGN Lane caller reported the neighbor threw chile and ketchup on his roof.
2:42 p.m. A Velarde caller said she was court-ordered to stay away from her neighbors, but they approached her when she was leaving her house and she wants to file a report.
2:51 p.m. An officer responded to an assault call at the EspaƱola Middle School.
2:59 p.m. A caller requested a welfare check on a man covered in green bottles and passed out in the back alley near Ultra Health.
3:02 p.m. A vehicle rollover was reported near the Ohkay Casino.
3:55 p.m. A womanās death was reported in Velarde.
4:38 p.m. A very drunk man was screaming at people in the Little Caesarās parking lot.
4:56 p.m. A Chamita caller said her neighbor broke into her car and damaged it.
6:31 p.m. A Hernandez caller reported no one has heard from the neighbor down the road in about two or three days and thereās a strange odor coming from his house and a package is still at the front door. The man was found dead.
8:14 p.m. A Villa del Norte Apartments caller said her mom is irate, is threatening her and is threatening to slash her tires.
8:37 p.m. A Center Market caller reported a man who was caught stealing before is outside, panhandling.
8:56 p.m. A Hernandez caller said there are nine people outside, trying to break into their house.
9:25 p.m. A Calle del Rancho caller reported a man whoās been drinking for eight consecutive days is at their house and is trying to start drama.
10:24 p.m. An East Roman Drive caller said her granddaughter and the girlās boyfriend made a pact to kill themselves and plan to take pills.
Woke Up Fighting
April 8
12:23 a.m. A Calle del Rancho caller reported a man is asking elderly people if he can stay at their home and is offering to pay them. The elderly people donāt know who the man is.
7:14 a.m. A Fairview Lane caller said his cousin woke up and is trying to fight him.
8:18 a.m. A Coronado High School caller reported that a parent was going to shoot a student. He said itās an ongoing feud between a seventh grader and a high school student.
8:36 a.m. A Lindrith man said his phone was hacked and he wants to speak with an officer.
8:38 a.m. A student was stuck in an elevator at EspaƱola Valley High School.
8:44 a.m. A caller wanted to speak with an officer about bullying at McCurdy High School.
10:02 a.m. A minor at EspaƱola Valley High School was in possession.
10:03 a.m. A DNCU East member wanted to file a report for fraud.
1:55 p.m. A Las Lomas Apartments caller said three men were fighting near the RTD bus stop.
3:35 p.m. A man on U.S. Highway 64/84 reported his vehicle started on fire after it began smoking.
3:42 p.m. A County Road 87 caller said his license plate was stolen.
5:40 p.m. A caller reported their brother was drinking and might be driving his car to Circle C to get more alcohol.
5:57 p.m. A caller said a woman seems to be intoxicated and is driving around with her children and is currently at Goodwill.
7:02 p.m. A caller reported a fire behind the Bubble Zone laundromat. She said homeless people were there earlier. The power line and grass was on fire.
8:55 p.m. An East Bond Street caller said her sister was shot with a BB gun by people in a car who were wearing masks.
10:06 p.m. A Velarde caller reported that someone gave her a ride and was holding her against her will. She said the person slapped her with a spatula, tied her to a bed frame, took her clothes and gave her different clothes and threatened to kill her. The responding deputy said everything the woman said was unfounded.
